Disneyland Trip
8/27/02 - 8/29/02

Ray, Nicky, Maggi and I went down to Disneyland last week for a little vacation. We stayed in the Disneyland Hotel and spent three days poking around the parks. It was very relaxed. Here are the pictures from the trip; just click on a thumbnail to get a better look.

This was the first time Nicky had stayed at a Disney property, so we had to look around the hotel for a little while. It's a pretty nice place to stay.

We headed out to Downtown Disney, enroute to Disney's California Adventure (DCA)...

Downtown Disney is a bunch of shops and places to eat, but there are some amusing distractions. This photo op is from the World of Disney store. Note the cool pants on Maggi.

We spent the first day in DCA. We had fun playing in the animation display, soaring over California, and doing other park-like stuff. Ray found the tool chest of his dreams...

Maggi and I went had fun messing around in the nature trail attraction, where they had a really tall mock log.

That is a tall log! A close up

They were pushing Lilo and Stitch in DCA.

The next day, Maggi and I headed over to Disneyland while Ray and Nicky made a run for beignets. We heard the sad news that they were going to close down Tom Sawyer's Island, to make it safer for kids. Bah! The world is getting too safe, if you ask me. And you did. Anyway, I took a bunch of pictures over there, as a way of saying good-bye. It sounds like it is going the way of the Pirates of the Caribbean: PC. Bah again!

We met up with Ray and Nicky and did various Disney things...

We spent some time goofing around in Toontown, and that's where I took the last of my pictures.

That about wraps it up. We're planning on going back in November or October, to catch the Haunted Mansion as the Nightmare Before Christmas house. Should be fun!

On to the GDC 2003 photos
